Hier ist noch einmal das Interview in englischer Originalfassung:

1. What are the main reasons for buying "XIII" for the Nintendo GameCube.
because it is a great game with a completely new feeling. Since our reference is Golden Eye, we try to get as much pleasure on XIII gamecube you found on Golden Eye.

2. Please define the differences between the several Versions of XIII (PS2, XBOX, PC, GCN)
The difference between the versions are basically in the multiplayer mode. We want all the player to share the same experience in the solo game but to get more options in the multi-player mode with exclusive mode for Cube.

3. What's the story in XIII?
You play XIII, at he beginning of the game you wake up on a beach wounded and thefore amnesiac, your only clue about who you are is a XIII tattoo on your shoulder. You start to enquire to find out who you are and will realize that not only FBI / the police / the army are chasing you but also some killers. You will understand that you were involved somehow in a conspiracy against the US government that englobes the assassination of the president of the USA. You will try to foil this conspiracy and like this maybe discover the truth about yourself.

4. Is there a special weapon in the game, that you're very proud of?
Personnally, I love the harpoon in multi-player modes, it is very efficient, it kills in one shot and it is so frustrating for the other players.. In the solo game, I love the shovel, one of the objects you can use as a deadly weapon, it is so cool

5. How long will it take to play through / to discover everything?
To play the solo game the first time, you need 15 hours in easy mode, to complete the game in the pro level, you will need to be more cautious, around 20 to 25 hours. Then you will have the multiplayer mode with a lot of options

6. What do you think of delaying GameCube titles in general? Is the GCN for developers the less important console?
No, I guess gamecube tittle are delayed because developpers are very respectful to the Nintendo quality. We all learned to play on Nintendo and for this console, we want the game to be perfect. Since the Cube was the last console to come on market, we still have a gap in terms of tools and engine to be catched up

7. How many people are working in the XIII development team?
Around 30 for the core team and then we get some help on subject like music, movies,etc....

8. Will the game be censored in Germany? (blood & gore level)
We hope not, we tried in the first phase of design to think about Germany ( true) and to design violence in a way it may not be censored. We think the comics aspect make it different and acceptable for the german gamers

9. What's the point in the game you're most proud of?
I guess the Comics rendering. Everybody told us at the beginning that it was not a good idea, that a FPS in cell-sahding could not work, we knew it was feasible, and therefore it is. However, it is not enough, you got to get a nice-playing game as well, that is what we are working on now.
